AWS, GCP, and others rebuilding infrastructure for agents

One-line definition

Major clouds like AWS and Google Cloud are standing up new "hosting/governance layers for agents" and wrapping their own APIs in MCP to expose them directly to agents. This is becoming a new product surface for cloud vendors.

  • AWS는 프레임워크 비종속 에이전트 실행 플랫폼을 GA했습니다. Bedrock AgentCore는 LangGraph·CrewAI·OpenAI Agents SDK·Google ADK 등 임의 프레임워크로 짠 에이전트를 올릴 수 있는 관리형 컴퓨트 레이어입니다. AgentCore Gateway는 기존 API·Lambda·MCP 서버를 에이전트 도구로 변환해주고, 2026년 5월에는 에이전트 전용 결제 기능(AgentCore Payments)도 프리뷰로 나왔습니다.
  • Google Cloud는 Vertex AI를 에이전트 플랫폼으로 리브랜딩했습니다. 2026 Cloud Next에서 "Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform"으로 이름을 바꾸고 Agentspace를 통합했으며, BigQuery·Maps·Compute Engine·GKE·Cloud Run·Cloud Storage·AlloyDB 등 주요 서비스에 관리형 원격 MCP 서버를 붙이는 중입니다.
  • Google은 MCP 표면을 넓히는 중입니다. 2026-09-30 Data Agent Kit(MCP 도구+스킬 묶음)을 GA하고, gcloud·bq 명령 전반을 여는 원격 MCP 서버를 프리뷰로 냈습니다.
  • 공통 패턴은 "MCP를 관리형 게이트웨이로 감싸서 제공"하는 것입니다. 자사 API를 에이전트가 바로 소비할 수 있게 만드는 게 클라우드 벤더 간 경쟁의 새 축이 됐습니다.
